Man Shot To Death In Pasadena On Marengo Avenue

PASADENA – A man, who is described to be a Latino in his 30s, was shot and killed late Monday night.

The coroner’s office has not yet identified the victim.

Gunshots were heard in the 400 block of North Marengo Avenue at around 11:36 p.m. and police responded after receiving a call.

According to Lt. Pete Hettema, the man was heard reportedly crying out in pain after the shots. Officers found the wounded man on the sidewalk.

He was taken to Huntington Hospital by firefighters where he died early Tuesday morning.

A witness saw two men on bicycles leaving the area shortly after the gunshots were heard, reported Hettema.

No suspects were taken into custody.
