Arcadia Man Accused Of DUI And Hit-And-Run Following Crash In Pasadena

PASADENA – On Thursday, 46-year-old Steve DiMartino, who was driving a pickup truck, blew through a red light while driving under the influence of alcohol and got involved in an accident.

He escaped the accident spot and left 2 individuals with injuries. The accident happened on 11:05 p.m. and the location was Green Street and Lake Avenue.

According to Pasadena police Lt. John Mercado, DiMartino was taken into custody on suspicion of felony drunken driving and felony hit-and-run.

The lieutenant told about DiMartino that he was driving a pickup truck that ran a red light on eastbound Green Street at Lake Avenue and crashed into a Honda sedan.

The man who was behind the wheel of the Honda and a passenger girl suffered minor injuries in the crash.

DiMartino was arrested with the assistance of an off-duty cop who saw the damaged vehicle travelling in the area of Washington Boulevard and Holliston Avenue. The vehicle looked suspicious to him, so he reported the case to a cop who was on-duty.

Mercado added, “On-duty officers responded to the scene, stopped the car and found that he was intoxicated.”

On Friday, DiMartino was released from custody after posting the $100,000 bail. He is summoned to court, as shown by the county booking records.
